Nokia 7205 Intrigue has Hidden Screen, Launches for Verizon

Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier, today introduced the Nokia 7205 Intrigue, a stylish clamshell with a hidden-until-lit external display.

The Basking Ridge, N.J.-based company said the Intrigue has an external display that illuminates when an incoming call or text is received.

Users can see incoming text messages, play songs from VCAST Music with Rhapsody, or turn off the alarm clock to snooze a little longer without opening the phone.

The Intrigue opens to reveal a large, bright internal display with a nature-inspired design setting called Habitat mode. When the Habitat mode is activated, contacts are presented in chronological order for an intuitive way to track contacts.

It comes with VCAST Music with Rhapsody to allow users to choose from over five million songs. They can download the master copy of their songs to a PC and sync their tracks, albums and playlists to their phone.

The handset also has a microSD optional removable memory with up to 8GB for additional storage.

Additional features include a 2.0-megapixel camera with flash and Bluetooth wireless technology.

The Intrigue also has features to promote environmental awareness. It comes with a built-in reminder to alert users to unplug the charger when the phone is fully-charged.

The Nokia 7205 Intrigue is available today for $130 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
